Urine is an aqueous solution of electrolytes and metabolites excreted by mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians. Although urine is excreted as a paste (uric acid) by most birds, it is commonly excreted as a fluid varying in color from clear, when diluted, to a dark amber, when concentrated. Urine is produced by the kidneys, and plays a vital role in maintaining homeostasis by removing excess water.
The chemical formula for urine is (NH2)2CO + H2O → CO2 + 2NH3.
Urine can also be used as fertilizer because of the bacteria, hormone -testerone, and glucose. Urine also carries dissolved metal materials, such as copper, zinc, lead, chromium, and cadmium.

Questions you may have include:
Of what does urine consist?
What are abnormal colors for urine?
What should you do if your urine is an abnormal color?
If your urine has a strange color, and you have not been eating foods or taking pills that would cause the change in color, you should check yourself for other unusual symptoms and perhaps visit your doctor.
Also, if the urine has a bad odor, it may be an indication of disease or infection. Little water economy, such as in deserts. Animals must excrete a pasty urine to prevent water loss.

At the end of the year every seeker is expected to write an essay on one of the three standards they are given. My standards are 18,24,and 34 all of them suck! Mr.Powell is making three books with the 52 standards in them. Its first come first serve for choosing your standards. I feel sorry for the people who are in sixth period.(Im in 6th period):(

There are only 9 more days of school left and i am so excited. But at the same time i actually want to stay in school and be with my friends. i am excited to go into the eigth grade but i am also scared to go into the eigth grade because alot of people say that it is harder than seventh grade and they give out lots of homework. I am sure almost everbody feels the way i do and wants to stay in school.

Standard's Essay by: Derrick Lee

Seekers have to write a standard essay for Mr. Powell. Here are the requirements: 1/2 inch margins top and bottom, 1 inch margins left and right, 12 pt Times New Roman, Double space..... I can't wait until its over.... So far we did one First Draft. I guess when we are finished we have to "teach the class". I really hope we'll be done SOON!!!!

CELTICS WIN!! by carlos mota

Paul Pierce HAD SUCH AN AMAZING game!!

I was eating doritos in my living room during the 3rd quarter when Paul Pierce sprained his knee! :O
From that point on i thought they lakers were going to win..but for the first time in my life, i was happy to be wrong! :DD
Pierce made a miraculous comeback! The crowd went wild when he made back to back 3-pointers!! How was Kobe able to get MVP?. hehe. I mean he went 9-26 from the field.
Right after the game was over I went to the computer and rubbed it in every laker lover's face!!
I cant wait for game 2 in Boston, I mean this is what the NBA finals are all about!

Skycar!!! - By Kevin Y.

The Skycar is a plane/car that can take off and land like a helicopter. It can carry 4 passengers and has a top speed of 375 mph (when flying), and a maximum altitude of 36,000. And it gets 20 mpg
It can take off in 35 ft and has emergency parachutes! :)











But it's not street legal and you need to go to an airport to take off.
